2008 teachers Quorum Super Activity

This weekend the we all went to Woods Canyon lake for fishing, hiking, and other scout-like things. (you know, like eating raw animals!) It stayed in the nice 70's- 80's the whole time.

It is our tradition tha every campout either Tayler or I will eat some sort of nasty creepy crawlie of some sort. This last campout I ate a raw trout that I caught, and Tayler ate the bait.

I got this dirtbike last Christmas. I lotta work has been done to it. And it runs AND looks much better than when we got it.

Waterhole

Lately it has been in the 100's during the day, we went to our desert's local water hole and were surprised to find it completely dry, we were surprised to find that all that time there has been a CAR in there! This thing is usually 4-10 deep and full of leeches and toads and all sorts of organisms. We always say "drink that, and you are the next radioactive super hero/monster"

This is also our big air-soft battlegrounds, good times, good times. But we just had mucho rain, so it is back to normal.

Garbage Guy

Johnny came over for a few weeks for work.

I got to tag along with him pickin' up and dumpin' other people's junk.

We found some pretty weird stuff, Bikes, giant tea cups, golf clubs, drum sets, etc.

I also got to discover many new smells..

Johnny was amazing to work with, always a positive attitude about him.

BSA Varsity Scout Triathlon 2008

Down in Safford we had a BSA Varsity Scout Triathlon.

We swam 300 meters, biked 6 Miles, and ran two miles with no break.

It was actually very very fun! the Night before we went to Safford Stake dance, there were hundreds for people from all over Arizona. Afterward we watched the Suns get smashed by the SA Spurs. . . . I miss the Jazz.

A little while ago we went to Yuma California with the Stevens to ride the dunes,

It was Hot, Dry, and a BLAST!!!

Javelina!

Davis & I were kinda freaked out today.

We stumbled upon a Javelina on my bike while head back from our BMX/Dirt bike track at the desert. It jumped away then whirled around and confronted me.(that is when we started bookin' it.) We were so stupid because we dropped our bikes and RAN when we could have rode to safety. So we had to wait a while for it to wander off so we could grab our bikes and leave.
